Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma of the Breast: Case Report

Abstract
Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a rare malignant neoplasm that most commonly arises in the salivary glands. Rarely, this tumor occurs in the breast, accounting for less than 1% of all breast cancers, It is a slow-growing cancer and rarely metastasizes to the axillary lymph nodes, and therefore prognosis is generally good. It has a benign looking or low suspicious malignant findings on imaging. We describe the mammographic, sonogrpahic and pathologic findings of a case of adenoid cystic carcinoma that is incidentally detected in the right breast of a 64-year-o1d woman.
